When you thought the world of video games didn’t need another Battle Royale, comes a game that piqued my interest with its flashy abilities and captivated me with the vibrant community around its unique combat style.
I had the pleasure of being one of the selected content creators to play this early alpha access build, and for that, I thank Theorycraft Games. In this video, I cover a few basics of the gameplay and, as usual, give my honest opinion about it. I’ve only played with one of the classes, so bear with me on this point.
Supervive is a squad-based hero Battle Royale where you can team up in groups of two or four to battle enemy teams across a gigantic map. As is typical in most Battle Royale games, there’s a storm limiting the map, so players need to act quickly to take advantage of chests, vaults, and mobs that give XP upon defeat, allowing them to upgrade their gear for the fight against enemy teams.
This is a team-based game, and coordination is key to success, starting with character selection. There are different classes to pick from: Fighter, the damage dealer; Protector, who helps the team regain HP; and Controller, who manipulates the battlefield.
Players can be revived at any point, even after being defeated, as long as a team member is still standing. There are various ways to be revived, either from the death boxes dropped by defeated players or at beacons. So, don’t abandon the match right after a negative encounter with an enemy—you can still turn the tide.
After a close fight, players can find camps scattered around the map, allowing them to heal up or repair their armor. Speaking of armor, it’s crucial to collect items and upgrade them to better versions. How do you do that? By picking up duplicates or grabbing power shards dropped by defeated players.
Now, about the gameplay: it’s super fluid. We might be looking at a hit game in the genre. The amount of synergy you can achieve with the characters you choose is incredible, as are the combos that can be performed.
