Wolcen Studio is bringing something truly groundbreaking to the ARPG genre with their latest creation, Project Pantheon. As a player, I’m hyped for this first-of-its-kind ExtrAction RPG, a game that blends the fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping Hack n’ Slash action we love with high-stakes extraction gameplay. Set in a dark fantasy world filled with epic reimaginings of historical myths, it’s shaping up to be an adventure like no other.
The excitement kicks off soon as Wolcen Studio has just dropped the first of three teaser trailers and announced a Closed Alpha Test! European players get in first on January 25-26, 2025, followed by North American players on February 1-2, 2025. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot, you’ll get hands-on with an early build of this ambitious new title.
In Project Pantheon, you find yourself in a twisted afterlife, tasked by Death itself to restore order to a shattered reality. You’ll explore a variety of detailed maps, face off against enemies in dynamic PvPvE combat, and fight for valuable loot. But here’s the catch, if you fail to extract, you could lose your gear for good. It’s all about risk and reward, which makes every mission a heart-pounding challenge.
Back at your hidden fortress, you’ll be upgrading your base, customizing your loadouts, and experimenting with gear to find the ultimate playstyle. The open market adds another layer of strategy, letting players trade and build a player-driven economy that supports teamwork and collaboration.
While it’s still in early alpha after over a year of development, the devs are making it clear that our feedback will drive updates and improvements as the world of Project Pantheon evolves.
