Great news for fans of Core Keeper! The sandbox adventure is receiving its first major post-1.0 update on March 10th. Titled ‘Bags & Blasts’, this update brings a new sub-biome, a fresh skill tree, and one of the game’s biggest boss battles yet!
What’s New in ‘Bags & Blasts’?
Players can explore the sun-scorched Oasis, a brand-new sub-biome nestled within the Desert of Beginnings. This vibrant region is home to the Drohmble, an endearing camel-like creature that can be ranched for a valuable (yet pungent) crafting resource.
But beware, because the Oasis holds more than just serene landscapes. Prepare for a royal showdown against Nimruza, Queen of the Burrowed Sands, a colossal super cicada that delivers one of Core Keeper’s most intense boss battles yet.
Harness the power of destruction with the all-new Explosives skill tree, featuring 8 unique skills and the game-changing grenade weapon type. Experiment with new bomb types, including the vacuum-creating Void Bomb and the multi-blast Blunder Bomb, to reshape the battlefield in your favor.

Inventory Overhaul: Pouches & Hotbar Swapping
At last, pouches are here! These new inventory management tools allow players to store ore, seeds, fish, and valuables in dedicated spaces, freeing up valuable inventory slots. Additionally, the update introduces hotbar swapping, giving players full control over which inventory row appears in their hotbar, plus an easy quick-stacking system for sorting items into nearby chests.
